Who we are

DezignZA is a trading name of DezignZA (Pty) Ltd, a software and design studio based in Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@dezignza.co.za.

What we collect and why

We only collect what we need to respond to you and run our business:

• Enquiry and quote forms. Your name, email, phone number, and the details of your project — so we can reply and prepare an estimate. Files you attach to a brief are stored securely and used only for that project.
• Email. When you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. This sets cookies and collects a truncated IP and usage data. It does not tell us who you are.

Our lawful basis (POPIA)

We process your information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA): to take steps at your request before entering a contract (responding to your enquiry or quote), to pursue our legitimate interests in running and improving the studio, and — for analytics and marketing — on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work, each bound to protect it: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider (Resend), and Google Analytics. Some of these process data outside South Africa; where they do, they do so under recognised safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and project files are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention settings.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop processing it. You may also object to processing and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa). To exercise any of these, email info@dezignza.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies

The site uses essential cookies to function and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to measure usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential functionality may be affected.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS across the site, access controls, and a security firewall on the platform. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data as we would our own.

Changes

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
