Web Design

What kind of site do you need?

Pick the one that sounds like you. Most people know within about five seconds. A single page for something new, or twenty with a shop, a blog and bookings.

Business, restaurant, guest house, shop, portfolio, one-pager, practice.

Which One Do You Need?

Design or Development?

People use the words interchangeably and they are not the same job. The easiest way to tell them apart is to ask what the thing has to do.

Web Design

Show people what you offer

Your shop front. It tells people who you are, what you sell, and how to reach you. It takes bookings, sells products, and keeps your news current.

  • Brochure and business sites
  • Online shops and product catalogues
  • Galleries, menus, blogs, contact forms
  • Built on a theme, customised to your brand
  • Weeks, not months, and a fraction of the cost of a custom build
You are on this page

Web Development

Run the business itself

The machinery behind the login. Staff and client accounts, records, workflow, invoicing, reporting. Built from scratch because nothing off the shelf does what you do.

  • Client and staff logins
  • Systems that manage the actual work
  • Invoicing, bookings, stock, reporting
  • Mobile and desktop apps
  • Built from nothing, and priced accordingly

Still not sure? Tell us what it has to do. If the answer is “show people what we offer and take a booking”, that is design. If it is “run the place”, that is development. Ask us →

No Small Print

Every Site Comes With

Works on a phone

Most of your visitors will never see your site on a desktop. Every page is built for the small screen first, then the big one.

You can edit it yourself

WordPress, set up cleanly. Change the text, swap a photo, add a post. No code, and no phoning us to fix a typo.

Fast local hosting

Pure SSD servers in South Africa through HostingZA, our own hosting arm. Your visitors are here, so your site should be too.

Found on Google

Titles, descriptions, structured data, sitemaps and Search Console connected before you go live. The basics, done properly.

Proper email

you@yourbusiness.co.za, working on your phone and your laptop. IMAP and SMTP, webmail, and forms that actually arrive.

The padlock

Free SSL, issued and renewed on its own. Google needs it, and so does anyone deciding whether to trust you.

Yours to keep

No template licence, no monthly fee to a page builder, no lock-in. If you ever leave, it all goes with you.

A person answers

Not a chatbot, not a queue in another timezone. The people who built it, in Somerset West, on the phone.

What We Build On

WordPress, By Default

Not because it is the only thing we know. Because for this kind of site it is the one you can still run yourself after we hand it over.

WordPress

The default for anything with content you want to change: pages, blog posts, galleries, menus. Millions of people already know how to use it, and that includes whoever you hire next.

WooCommerce

The default for shops. Products, stock, checkout, shipping, South African payment gateways. Ten products or five hundred, same system.

A theme, made yours

We start from a solid theme and customise it to your brand rather than reinventing the wheel at your expense. Your colours, your type, your layout, your photography.

Plain HTML and PHP

Sometimes the honest answer is smaller. A business-card site that never changes does not need a CMS. Straight HTML, with PHP behind the contact form, is faster and cheaper to run.

Already on something else? Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, Joomla, a hand-rolled thing from 2014. We work in those too. Tell us what you are on →

Already Have a Site?

We Take Things Over

Plenty of this work starts with something that already exists and is not working.

Your site is slow

Visitors leave before it finishes loading, and Google notices. We find out why and fix it, or rebuild it properly.

You cannot change a word

Every tiny edit is an email to someone who takes a week. We hand it back to you with an editor you will actually use.

It was built on a page builder

Divi, Elementor, WP Bakery. Heavy, slow, and hard to escape. We rebuild it lean and bring your content with us.

It looks like 2016

It was fine once. We redesign it around what the business needs now, not what the template allowed then.

Hosting and Email

We Keep It Running Too

We do not hand you a folder of files and wish you luck. Your site lives on our own hosting, and your email works, because both are ours to answer for.

Hosting from R50 a month

  • Pure SSD cPanel servers, in South Africa
  • Free SSL, issued and renewed automatically
  • Free migration from whoever has you now
  • Plans from 1GB to 15GB, one site to ten
  • Free .co.za domain on the larger annual plans

Email that behaves

  • you@yourbusiness.co.za, on every device
  • IMAP and SMTP, so it works in Mail, Outlook or Gmail
  • Webmail when you are on someone else’s machine
  • Contact forms delivered through Resend, not the shared mail queue that lands in spam
  • Domain registration, DNS and pointing handled. You never need to learn what a CNAME is
