About the project

Reservant is a mobile app for booking a table at a restaurant. Our client asked us to test whether a booking app made sense and to show what it could look like. Interviews pointed to busy working adults as the main users, and to three pain points: booking apps feel complicated, a phone call is often quicker, and most platforms ignore assistive technology.

Over three weeks we ran interviews, built empathy maps, wrote a persona and problem statement for Andre, a semi-retired user wary of technology, and mapped his journey. We sketched paper wireframes, moved to digital wireframes and a low-fidelity prototype, then ran two rounds of usability studies. The findings added favourites, search and real food photos to the final high-fidelity screens.
